Symptoms

  • White patches resembling mold appear on the skin and fins of the endler. They stop eating, or they mouth food then spit it out. This is actually rare in well-maintained tanks; it is also very difficult to diagnose accurately as there are bacterial infections that look similar.

Organic treatment of fish

  • remove infected fish to hospital tank if possible

  • raise tank temperature 10 degrees(do not exceed 90 degrees)

  • treat with 2 tablespoons / 10 gallons Ark BioRite Replenisher

  • treat with Organic Control as directed

  • extend treatment if needed

  • if symptoms continue follow with medicinal treatment

Medicinal treatment of fish

  • remove infected fish to hospital tank if possible

  • Raise tank temperature 10 degrees (do not exceed 90 degrees)

  • treat with 2 tablespoons / 10 gallons Ark BioRite Replenisher

  • treat with First Round as directed

  • if symptoms continue it is a bacterial treatment as directed with One-Shot Knockout.

Original tank treatment
(if infected fish were moved to hospital tank)

  • do a 60% water change

  • gradually increase temperature 10 degrees (do not exceed 90 degrees)
