Mouth Fungus - Saddleback Disease

Symptoms

  • signature of this disease is a rise in the skin between gill cover and dorsal fin, along with a milky appearance to scales which then quickly ulcerates and encircles the body

  • Infected areas may develop into red ulcers and infect the gills, causing rapid loss of life

Organic treatment of fish

  • remove infected fish to hospital tank dosed with 1 tablespoon Replenish per 10 gallons water

  • do not raise the temperature of the water

  • treat with Organic Control as directed

  • extend treatment if needed

  • if symptoms continue follow with medicinal treatment

Medicinal treatment of fish

  • remove infected fish to hospital tank dosed with 1 tablespoon Replenish per 10 gallons water

  • do not raise the temperature of the water

  • treat as directed with First Round

  • if symptoms continue do 50% water change in a hospital tank and repeat treatment

Original tank treatment
(if infected fish were moved to hospital tank)

  • do 60% water change another day for a total of three water changes
