Hornwart

$10.00
Sold Out

Hornwart (Ceratophyllum Demersum) can be used as a floating plant or as an upright stem plant. It does not have roots but when planted, Hornworth produces rhizomes that allow it to attach to the gravel. A fast grower used in tanks with young colonies to provide hiding places for young fish. It is good for quickly absorbing extra nutrients from the water column, preventing algal blooms. It removes heavy metals, toxins, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates from the water column and produces enough oxygen to keep a tank functioning in case of a temporary power outage.
